The publication focuses on the expansive installation created in March 2016 by Knut Eckstein within the Kunsthalle Giessen, on its faade and on the roof of the town hall building where the Kunsthalle is located. Five texts in German and English by Marcel Baumgartner, Guy Parker and Matthias Wagner K deal with Knut Ecksteins work with highly diverse approaches and perspectives; it is a work that consists largely of light installation and the use of partly painted, worn out cardboard boxes, bound together to form constructions in space and fixed to the walls of the exhibition. thankyou/index.html: memories and thoughts on people I wish to thank for, or I am still thinking of. The curators were Johannes Lothar Schroeder and Mimiko Sato, of Mikiko Sato Gallery, Hamburg, who invited Yoshiaki Kaihatsu from Japan and me to setup installations under the title of 2in2 at Siemens Headquarter and the Oberlandesgericht (Higher Regional Court) Hamburg in 2006. more to come...
